Dissociative Addiction Disorder (DAD)
Trauma-based mind becomes controlled by childish impulses whose aim is to fragment the mind of the so-called “ADDICTION victim”, thus splits the personality repeatedly and deliberately.

The result was called  “multiple personality disorder” (MPD); the new term is “dissociative Addiction disorder” (DAD).

In a nutshell, pain and childhood trauma can split the mind with walls of amnesia as a survival/defense mechanism known as dissociation.

Dissociation creates multiple fractured “identities”, which become known as "The Child Hidden Within".

Dissociative Addiction Disorder doesn’t appear naturally. Its a product of early disorder in childhood.

  1. I'm confused. Is DID now known as Dissociative Addictive Disorder, or are you speaking of the unfortunate side effect of addiction in those who live with DID?

  2. No Dissociative Addictive Disorder can be as a result of DID or independent Trauma which results in self medication which leads to a term of addiction or rather a dissociated state. The roots of addiction are in dissociation this produces clear behavioural states DID and DAD
